Slow Cooker Roast Beef |
Serves 4-6? Needs a slow cooker |
Ingredients:
|
For the McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning |
4 | tablespoons | coarse salt or sea salt |
1 | tablespoon | black pepper |
1 | tablespoon | dehydrated onion |
1/2 | tablespoon | dehydrated garlic |
1/2 | tablespoon | crushed red pepper |
1/2 | tablespoon | dried thyme |
1/2 | tablespoon | dried rosemary |
1/2 | tablespoon | dried fennel |
1 | tablespoon | Paprika |
| |
Method: |
Mix together and store in a shaker. |
Take any half decent cut of beef (I've been using eye of round lately). |
Rub with McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning and brown on all sides. |
Put the browned roast in your slow cooker. Add about 1/2 cup of water to the browning pan to loosen the drippings, and add that to the cooker. |
Leave on low 8-10 hours. |
Remove and let stand 15 minutes or more. |
Use the liquid in the cooker to serve meat au jus, or make a gravy, or use it as a soup base. |
I seldom roast beef any other way now. |
